Rania has worked in international fitness for over 7 years. She started dancing and ballet at age 6 and has a passion for performing arts, acting and dancing that she wishes to share with everyone. Rania is a certified aerobics instructor and personal trainer with an emphasis in step-kickboxing and group exercises.

Ashley

Ashley is known for her graceful movements, patient demeanor and sweet disposition. As a recently discovered talent, Ashley danced throughout her college experience on Boston College's South Asian dance team, Masti. Having grown up in Northern Virginia, she is very happy to be back home and to have found Doonya to keep her dancing spirit alive. She joined Doonya in 2012 and teaches tots, kids and adults classes. She has appeared on WUSA9, CBS's Washington DC affiliate, as part of a ;segment on the Indian festival Diwali. Currently Ashley is pursuing her Master's in Public Health, concentrating in Global Health, at the George Washington University. As part of her program, she is currently spending the summer of 2013 in Rwanda, where is teaching Doonya classes!

Daphna

Daphna started coming to Jordin's Paradise as part of her decision to get into shape and live a healthier life. Daphna has been with us for over three years - first as a student, then as our graphic design guru (she designed our website and logo) and now as an instructor! She has been practicing yoga for over six years and loves dancing and gymnastics. Her flirty chair class is always filling up and she loves mixing different styles of music to get everyone sweating (but in a sexy fun way)!

Jeannie

Dubbed "The Queen of Cardio" by one of our regular students, Jeannie is a certified group exercise instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and has played an integral role in developing our signature Doonya fitness program. She is now one of our most enthusiastic and energetic instructors. (Read a review of Jeannie's class by popular blogger DC Fit Crasher). As regional manager for the Washington, D.C. area, Jeannie oversees the day-to-day operations in the nation's capital and specializes in training new instructors....and unofficially she is our in-house Bollywood Guru. As part of the Doonya team, Jeannie can be seen on The Today Show, Dr. Oz, WUSA9, The Washington Post. She also has performed at the National Cherry Blossom Festival, Fiesta Asia, Arts on Foot, at the Indian Embassy as part of Passport DC, and the Global India Fund gala honoring actress & activist Ashley Judd.

Katya

'Katya' is a dancer of many transitions from ballroom, to the show dance, to folk dance genres such as Middle Eastern, Cuban and Argentine Tango. Being trained in music, dance and fine art she integrates her body awareness knowledge as well as principles of a visual composition into her dance expression. Her instruction emphasizes frame, quality of the step, leading and following principles, body awareness, musicality and improvisation.

khushboo

Known as our "High Knee Knockout," Khushboo has been a member of Doonya's faculty since 2011 and a member of the Doonya Dance performance company since 2010. She is also a Doonya trainer, teaching future Doonya instructors how to earn their own instructor licenses. As a lifelong student of dance, Khushboo's dance style, like her personality, is best described as high energy and bubbly. Whether she is performing on stage for 10,000 people or at rehearsal with fellow dancers, Khushboo always dances like there is an audience in the room. She believes that dance is the greatest form of self expression and uses this to inspire her choreography and performances. At the age of 5, Khushboo started taking Bharatanatyam (a form of Classical Indian dance) lessons with the Chauladevi Institute of Dance in Detroit, Michigan, under the direction of her guru, Chaula Thackar. She completed her Arangetram 11 years later in 2004.

Lindsey

Lindsey got hooked on pole dancing after her first class at Jordin's Paradise last year, and is now ready to convert the masses! Originally from Buffalo, NY, she works for the federal government and is also a dedicated runner, currently psyching herself up to try a full marathon. A graduate of Canisius College and Syracuse University, she was also on the Women's Crew Team during college. Lindsey enjoys practicing yoga and finding new and fun ways to work out, and is very excited to be teaching the pole dance aerobics classes.

Tavon

Tavon 'Jungle Cat' pole fitness journey started 3 years ago on St. Patrick's Day, and over that period, he has developed an extremely deep appreciation for the many different, diverse, and unique pole dance styles and is truly grateful for the love and encouragement from his friends, family, the pole dance/fitness community as a whole and its supporters.
